A coin marked “COPY” isn’t a fake — it’s a legal reproduction. Counterfeits try to deceive buyers; “COPY” coins, by contrast, are clearly marked to show they’re replicas.
These pieces are often made for collectors or historical displays. Their value depends on what they’re made from and how well they’re crafted. A silver “COPY” coin, for example, can still be worth its metal content.
